Litecoin is having a rough month. The coin has fallen 21% over the past 30 days, a bigger drop than Bitcoin’s over the same stretch. That gap has renewed downside worries. Not exactly the vibe holders were hoping for.
A recent snapshot put Litecoin near $58, with daily and weekly losses also showing up in late October 2026. It sits below its 30-day simple moving average, which confirms a short-term downtrend. Analysts describe persistent negative pressure. One prediction page expects the price to drift around the mid-$50s. Drift. Not soar.
Litecoin sits near $58, below its 30-day average. Analysts see drift, not a surge.
Support levels are stacked below, and there are plenty of them. CoinMarketCap flagged swing-low support at $55.20, with the 200-day simple moving average at $52.10 as a deeper floor. CoinCheckup listed $56.14, $55.49, and $54.89, calling the last one the strongest. Blockchain.News placed immediate support at $58.45 and stronger support at $57.39. Another analysis cited $54.00 if bearish pressure continues.
Overhead, it gets crowded. The 7-day simple moving average sits at $58.89 as resistance. CoinCheckup listed $57.38, $57.98, and $58.63. Blockchain.News described a dense zone from $60.23 to $61.22, backed by several short-term averages. CoinOTAG put first resistance near $62.13, then $63.67. One analysis said $57.00 is the near-term line that must break for a bullish shift.
The bigger picture isn’t friendly either. LiteFinance said Litecoin remains inside a downward channel, with the SMA50 below the SMA200, confirming a medium-term bearish trend. The 50-period SMA keeps acting as dynamic resistance. U.S. spot Litecoin ETFs have attracted only $17 million in net assets, far less than the $110 million Bitcoin ETFs pulled in during a single day.
Economies and FXNewsToday both described the market as under continued negative pressure. CoinCheckup counted 14 green days out of 30 and 7.31% volatility. Translation: choppy, not decisive. Meanwhile, the RSI reads 50.28, a neutral level that points to a lack of aggressive buying interest.
Is there any good news? Sort of. Bulls need a break above $57.00 to flip the script. Then they would face the $58.89 average, the $60.23–$61.22 wall, and the $62.13 level. That’s a lot of hurdles. Each one is a chance for sellers to step back in. Not exactly a small ask.
Litecoin’s drop fits a familiar pattern, since altcoins exhibit sharper price swings influenced by market speculation compared with Bitcoin.
