Rollercoaster. That’s the polite word for what crypto traders on Pluang have been riding lately. Sharp rotations into narrative-driven altcoins, not broad market calm, defined the period. Three names kept popping up: Starknet, Bitway and Aero.
Starknet got the loudest push. Founder Eli Ben-Sasson proposed moving Starknet from an Ethereum Layer 2 to an independent Layer 1 by 2027. No formal governance vote had happened at the time of reporting. So, speculation. Lots of it. STRK surged anyway. Pluang noted spikes of 39.13%, 44.51%, 45.02%, 52.54% and 61.82% across multiple 24-hour windows.
No formal vote, no approval, just a founder’s proposal. STRK surged anyway, with 24-hour spikes topping 61%.
As of Oct. 9, 2026, market cap sat at Rp7.44 trillion, with 24-hour volume at Rp4.71 trillion. Other updates showed Rp7.33 trillion and Rp7.53 trillion in volume. That’s a lot of trading for a plan that isn’t even approved. Order data showed 73% buy orders and a typical holding period of 76 days, which points to sustained accumulation.
Then there’s the Oct. 15 release: 127 million STRK, worth $9.15 million, or 1.7% of circulating supply. Pluang called it small compared with daily volume.
Bitway, or BTW, was one of Pluang’s strongest movers. September and October brought multiple sharp rallies. One report had BTW up 19.1% to $1.06 after new partnerships with major blockchain networks.
Another had it jumping 34.16% to $1.25 as interest grew in its blockchain solutions for faster, cheaper transactions. Pluang also reported a record high of $1.43 after a Binance Wallet DeFi incentive campaign, with a market cap of $3.6 billion.
Another summary described the layer-1 token at $1.69, up 226% in 30 days. Supporting that: limited circulating supply of 27% and a low daily turnover ratio of 0.55.
Aero’s story is about a merger. Aerodrome and Velodrome are planned to combine into a unified cross-chain DEX branded Aero. Launch was scheduled for Oct. 21, 2026, across seven EVM-compatible chains, including Ethereum Mainnet and Arbitrum.
Pluang pointed to cross-chain liquidity, MetaDEX03 technology and 100% revenue sharing for AERO stakers as catalysts. On Sep. 26, 2026, AERO traded at Rp15,307, up 22.47%, with a market cap of Rp15.1 trillion.
Yet order data showed 80% selling for AERO and 84% for VELODROME. Prices up, order books sell-heavy. Traders are repositioning before the merger, apparently.
The common thread is events. Governance proposals, token releases, launches and incentive campaigns pulled in exchange activity and derivatives interest. Starknet stood out because a chain-level redesign is more fundamental than a routine token price move. Altcoins like these tend to show higher volatility than Bitcoin, which is why sharp short-term swings around news events are common.
